I am a New Believer; what do I Need to Know?

Opening Greetings Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus the Savior.  2 Thessalonians 1:2 Opening Reading On hearing this, they were stung in their hearts; and they said to Peter and the other emissaries, “Brothers, what should we do?”  38 Peter  answered them, “Turn from sin, return to God, and each of you be baptized on the authority of Jesus the Savior into forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the  Holy Ghost !  39  For the promise is for you, for your children, and for those far away — as many as  The Lord  our God may call!” Acts 2:37 But to as many as did receive him, to those who put their trust in his person and power, he gave the right to become children of God,  13   not because of bloodline, physical impulse or human intention, but because of God. On the contrary, they are spiritual and have God’s power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments 5   and every arrogance that raises itself up against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey the Messiah. 6   And when you have become completely obedient, then we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience. 2 Corinthians 10: 3-6 Message  10   Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength! 11   Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary. 12   For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. 13   So take up every
