The Way Back to God
- God created man and woman: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.(Genesis 1.27)
- Due to making the wrong choice by listening to Satan, the man, the woman and all of creation came under the curse of death: “Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—“ (Romans 5.12)
- God, in his mercy, at the same time of putting the creation under the curse, provided also for its redemption: “And I will put enmity between you (Satan) and the woman (Mary representing women), and between your seed (ungodly men) and her Seed (Jesus Christ);
He (Jesus Christ) shall bruise your (Satan) head,
and you shall bruise His (Jesus Christ) heel.” (Genesis 3.15) - This redemption was to come through a man (“the Seed of the woman-“ Genesis 3.15 & “the Seed of Abraham:” “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises (of redemption) made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,”who is Christ.” (Galatians 3.16) and “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3.29)
- It had to be a sinless person who was to pay the price of redeeming mankind: “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”(1 Peter 1.18-21)
- This person is Jesus Christ.
- The death of Jesus on the Cross was the sacrifice for the salvation of man from the curse of death.
- What should you do?
“And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16.30-31)
- “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.” (1 Corinthians 16.23)
